Job Overview

Wargaming Kyiv is seeking a talented CG\Skin Artist to join the Central Art team.

You’ll have a unique opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, contributing to well-known titles and innovative, unannounced developments. Unlike a product-dedicated team, the Central Art Team is positioned to collaborate on various assets, styles, and game requirements, supporting multiple game teams within Wargaming.

The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic vision, a passion for creating high-quality textures and skins, and a solid understanding of 3D modeling and rendering. You will collaborate closely with our art and design teams to bring characters and environments to life, ensuring they meet the artistic direction and technical requirements of our projects.

What will you do?

  • Create high-quality textures and skins for 3D characters and assets
  • Create photorealistic 3D models for AAA environments and props
  • Collaborate with artists, animators, and designers to ensure consistency and quality across all assets
  • Optimize textures for performance while maintaining visual fidelity
  • Apply your expertise using the most advanced technology in CG development
  • Trainings, personal development and education time. Knowledge sharing within teams and projects

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years of experience in game development industry
  • Strong high-poly and low-poly modelling skills, UV mapping and normal map baking
  • Strong working knowledge of PBR texturing
  • Ability to work basing on technical documents and drawings
  • Proficiency in software such as Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter, and 3D modeling tools (e.g., Blender, Maya, ZBrush).
  • Understanding of game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and their material systems
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for color, form, and detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to receive and act on feedback
  • Experience as a Skin/CG Artist or in a similar role within game development is a plus
