Data Scientist (вакансія неактивна)

Київ, віддалено

Tilting Point is looking for a Middle+ Data Scientist to join our Data team in Kyiv or remotely in Ukraine. In this role, you will provide our internal teams and stakeholders with the best data & tooling services offered for the mobile games market. You’ll report directly to the Data Science Lead. You will work with the team and collaborate in researching, developing, and maintaining tools that stakeholders will use on a daily basis (LTV projections, profitability simulators, budget allocators, and many more). In addition, you’ll play a critical strategic part in shaping the future of Tilting Point at its competitive edge. You’ll apply cutting-edge technologies to solve arising problems — multivariate forecasting with neural networks, causal reasoning, reinforcement learning, constrained optimization, to name a few — on big data!

Your Future at TPM 🤩

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following, on an as-needed basis:

  • Involvement in complete ML cycle — from shaping and working on PoC to putting MVP to production and delivering future versions of existing models (reproducibility, CI/CD/CT, pipelines, scalability)
  • Working closely with the data team (data engineers, data analysts) to align your contribution with tech strategy and ensure we use best practices and don’t reinvent the wheel each time
  • Present your findings to internal (data team) and external stakeholders in a concise and understandable way — it’s not about mindlessly doing JIRA tasks — you bring value to the company and your contribution and ideas won’t be left unnoticed

Your XP & Skills 🧑‍💻

  • Highly accountable — Take risks, willing to fail and thrive in successes
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision — given generalized solution overview, be able to dig in and define what particular steps are needed to deliver it (however, when you lose track or the uncertainty is too high — you should always request help and receive it)
  • Excellent communication skills: tell a story of technical concepts to non-technical audiences and work with internal and external teams
  • Excited to work in a lean, small team environment working with the world’s leading developers
  • Positive attitude, passion for games, and a love for problem-solving

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative or computational field (ie, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics or an emphasis in quantitative methods or business analytics, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in core Python and SQL, familiarity with software and ML engineering best practices — code style, documentation, modularity, CI/CD
  • Data wrangling: NumPy, Pandas, SciPy
  • Classical ML: scikit-learn and similar
  • Deep learning: PyTorch (preferably) or Tensorflow/Trax
  • Visualization: plot.ly/altair or matplotlib/seaborn
  • Explainability & interpretability: shap or LIME, or eli5, model-agnostic methods
  • Unsupervised: clustering (sklearn, hdbscan), dimensionality reduction (PCA, t-SNE, umap), anomaly detection (sklearn)
  • Hyperparam optimization: hyperopt, or sklearn methods, or optuna, etc.
  • MLOps: mlflow or neptune.ai, or kubeflow, or wandb, or dagsHub
  • High proficiency in English (written and oral)

Nice to Haves 👍

  • Experience with Big Data stack and out-of-core learning (Spark, Vaex, Databricks as a platform)
  • Reinforcement Learning fundamentals (MOOCs or practical experience)
  • Cloud experience (Databricks ideally, GCP/Amazon/Azure also works)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (scrum/kanban)
  • Previous experience in mobile gaming
