We are looking for an experienced Slot Game Mathematician on an outsource basis to design and balance the mathematical models behind our high-quality slot productions.
What You’ll Do
- Design, simulate, and balance slot mathematics: reel strips, paytables, RTP, volatility, hit frequency, and bonus mechanics.
- Produce and maintain PAR sheets and mathematical documentation for regulatory and client review.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to implement math models into Java-based server engines.
- Playtest and iterate on game feel to ensure engaging player experiences and commercially viable KPIs.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent deep experience).
- Proven track record designing math for released slot games; understanding of standard and innovative mechanics (Wilds, Free Spins, Cascades, Jackpots, etc.).
- Proficiency with simulation tools (Excel, Python, R, or proprietary tools) and RNG concepts.
- Familiarity with Java-based game server integration is a strong plus.
- Ability to work independently, meet roadmap deadlines, and communicate complex math clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
