Game Mathematician

Ixilix is a technology-driven company that builds high-quality solutions and long-term partnerships. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Game Mathematician.

Responsibilities:

• Writing rules for slots, describing game mechanics, and documenting them in the Wiki.
• Full-cycle creation of slot mathematics in accordance with RTP requirements (Main spins, Free games, Bonus games, features, etc.).
• Calculation of additional versions of mathematics for games (alternative RTP, volatility settings, special market requirements).
• Analyze and optimize game volatility and payout curves.
  Review slot rules and check statistical data collected by bots during the server implementation of the game.
• Participation in team and product meetings, contributing ideas for slot mechanics.
  Propose improvements and new concepts to increase player engagement..

Required Skills:

• 1-2+ years of experience as a Mathematician in gambling/GameDev.
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Understanding of applied mathematics: probability theory and statistics, linear algebra, basics of numerical methods.
• Ability to document processes and explain ideas clearly.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• English B2+.
• Ukrainian C1+.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, regression models, stochastic processes.
• Experience working with statistical tools or scripting languages (Python, R, etc.).

Work conditions:

• Remote work from EU
• Flexible 8-hour workday, typically between 9:00 — 18:00 CET
• Five working days, Monday to Friday
• Public holidays observed according to Ukrainian legislation
• Business trips to Bratislava every 3-6 months (company provides compensation of expenses)
