We are looking for a talented and driven Audio Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between technical implementation and creative sound design. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the audio engine and tools that bring our dark, atmospheric worlds to life.

You will work closely with Sound Designers to ensure their creative vision is technically feasible and flawlessly integrated into the game engine.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the audio team to design, implement, and optimize audio game systems and features, with a focus on MetaSounds and procedural audio.
  • Managing audio memory and performance, including streaming strategies, voice management, and resource budgeting across PC and consoles.
  • Working with the engine team to extend and optimize audio pipelines within Unreal Engine 5.
  • Developing tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality for sound designers.
  • Supporting and instructing audio designers on how to use internal tools and MetaSound graphs to achieve the best results effectively.
  • Adhering to team coding standards and best practices.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for owned technical areas.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

  • Strong practical knowledge of C++.
  • Understanding of Unreal Engine 5, specifically with MetaSounds and the Audio Engine architecture.
  • Strong communication and team skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Experience working on multiple platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X/S), including platform-specific audio hardware utilization.
  • Passionate about music.
