We are looking for a skilled 3D Artist experienced in creating realistic buildings, structures, and props for AAA-quality games.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, technical proficiency in 3D workflows, and the ability to deliver optimized, game-ready assets compatible with Maya-based pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Model, UV, and texture realistic buildings, interiors, and environment props for high-end game visuals.
- Maintain consistency in scale, proportions, and art style according to project guidelines.
- Create clean, optimized meshes ready for export from Maya (proprietary asset format).
- Collaborate with the Level Design, Lighting, and Technical Art teams to ensure assets integrate seamlessly in-engine.
- Participate in asset reviews, providing and implementing feedback efficiently.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a 3D Artist in the game industry (AAA or high-quality indie titles).
- Solid skills in Maya and at least one additional modeling package (Blender, Houdini, etc.).
- Understanding pipeline in Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, and ZBrush (for detailing).
- Solid understanding of PBR workflows, real-time optimization, and baking (normal/AO maps).
- Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, or Godot pipelines.
- Communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to visual realism.
Bonus Skills
- Basic rigging, skinning, and animation setup for interactive props (doors, mechanical elements, destructibles).
- Experience with procedural generation tools (Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes).
- Familiarity with photogrammetry or scanning workflows.
- Understanding of shader authoring or technical art integration.
- Knowledge of game optimization (LODs, draw calls, instancing).
Portfolio Requirements
- Showcase realistic environments or props with high visual fidelity.
- Include wireframes, texture breakdowns, and in-engine renders.
- At least one fully realized building or prop set demonstrating material and lighting quality.
