We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Build and Release Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team!

About the Role:

As a Build and Release Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing our game and infrastructure development and release pipelines.

You will join our company-wide Infrastructure team, a centralized team supporting multiple exciting game projects. You will focus on implementing and automating game-centric build and release processes, collaborating closely with our deployment engineers to ensure seamless integration with our deployment solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to innovative prototype development, and shape the future of our game development workflows.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in build and release engineering within a game development environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of CI/CD principles and automated build and delivery pipelines.
• Proven experience with Unreal Engine 4 and Unreal Engine 5 build systems and automation.
  Hands-on expertise with Perforce version control and collaboration tools such as Swarm.
• In-depth knowledge GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins.
• Expertise in building and releasing projects for Windows, Linux, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages, with a focus on PowerShell and Bash, for automating build processes.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to knowledge sharing, team brainstorming sessions, and prototype development initiatives, driving innovation within the Infrastructure team.
• Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, cloud, and QA teams to continuously optimize integration and delivery processes, seeking opportunities for improvement automation and platform.
• Proactively monitor CICD process performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement enhancements to improve build times and overall efficiency.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve build and release pipeline issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable CI/CD infrastructure for projects, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain 24/7 availability of delivery-ready builds and binaries for all target platforms, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal developer productivity.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate routine tasks, optimize build workflows, and integrate with Digital Content Creation (DCC) pipelines — examples include asset optimization, automated content processing, and build artifact management.
• Integrate and configure build tools like CMake and Unreal Build Tool to optimize development workflows and ensure build consistency across platforms.
  Automate the building, testing, and deployment processes for applications on Windows, and Linux leveraging Docker containers for consistent and isolated build environments.
• Utilize Perforce and Git for version control and manage team collaborations through Swarm, ensuring code integrity and efficient teamwork.
