Translator/Technical writer (вакансія неактивна)

We are seeking a talented Translator/Technical Writer to join our team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our in-game text, documentation, and marketing materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meticulously review all in-game text (menus, dialogue, lore entries, etc.) for grammatical errors, typos, and punctuation mistakes.
• Ensure consistency in terminology, voice, and style across all game content.
• Collaborate with designers and programmers to create clear, concise, technical documentation of the game engine functionality for internal team.
• Maintain scripts across various formats during development.
• Translate technical documents and make sure they adhere to established requirements and standards.
• Translate internal mail and other administrative documents.
• Work directly with existing fiction staff and Designers to proofread overall fiction and scenarios.

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent knowledge of English language is a must.
• Excellent or native knowledge of Ukrainian language.
• Familiarity/experience with any localization and text processing tools (Wiki styles, Office, Miro, other collaboration tools)
• Experience of the advanced usage of spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets/etc...).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Able to manage and meet deadlines while maintaining creative iteration principles.
• Deep familiarization with Metro games, books, and fan lore.
• Team player who constantly seeks feedback from all sources available.
• Able to develop ideas, but also run with creative direction developed by others.
• Able to assist with internal translation efforts as needed.

PREFERENCES

• Deep familiarity with, or native to, Eastern European culture.
• Passion for games.
